WMC Bank Holiday Vintage Extravaganza, Cardiff

Retro stalls, live bands, vintage cars and film showings were some of the things on offer at the Wales Millennium Centre on bank holiday Monday as part of their Vintage Extravaganza. Free jive demos and lessons were given on the Glanfa stage before live bands and DJs provided music to carry on the dancing to.

"Best Of British" BB-8 figures in production, Cardiff

Miniature BB-8 models have been designed around the theme "Best of British" by stars including Mark Hamil, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Anthony Daniels, Warwick Davis, Simon Pegg, Jonathan Ross, Years and Years, Alex Brooker and Paddy McGuiness. They are all part of a "Force For Change" auction to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and will be exhibited in London to coincide with the DVD and Blu-ray release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Lifeguard service launched, Three Cliffs Bay

Following two tragic drownings there last summer, Three Cliffs Bay on Gower will have the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeguards on patrol for the first time this year, with the safety service set to start on the popular picturesque beach later this week.
